Healing From Within

Our emotions, thoughts and words leave an imprint. People around us digest the energy We are projecting.  To start on a journey toward wellness and balance, our thoughts and words must support this objective. Common sense demonstrates nutritious food, exercise and relaxation may promote and improve health. We chose to avoid  saboteurs of health –  alcohol, drug , and smoking. Stress, a poor diet, and sleep deprivation tear away at the body.

It is all too easy to be swept up in a current of worry, anger and fear, by simply  watching the news. Violence and corruption appear on every street corner, around the globe.  In this regard it is important to strike a balance between being well informed and subjecting mind, body and spirit to excessive violence. Be aware viewing excessive violence second hand, on television or social media has an effect on emotional and physical health. Watching stressful scenes may signal  the release of stress hormones. After watching a suspense movie, You may find it difficult to fall asleep. Be a selective viewer. Sometimes the energy around us is overwhelming. Read more in the article below:

How To Clear The Energy In A Room

Self examination is a crucial step towards creating  a healthy environment. Examine all emotions, thoughts, and feelings. Embark on this process to discover what is truly holding You hostage. Keep a journal of thoughts, feelings and emotions. This provides a valuable outlet. Institutions  often discourage the free expression of feelings and emotions. Record any physical sensations along with any other information.  For women dealing with issues of hormone balance, menopause,  or PMS, this is a valuable tool. At a later date You may choose to share this information with a doctor. Include sensations such as breast tenderness, spotting, or  restless sleep.   If You are under emotional trauma, do not hesitate to seek professional  counselling and guidance. Alternatively, talk to a friend or family.  Cognitive Behavoural Therapy  (CBT) is an excellent option.  For more information on stress read My article –

How Stress Affects Our Health

It is important to acknowledge Our true feelings. Accept thoughts, and emotions. This process of this introspection is not to judge. Acceptance does not mean resignation, rather it is a tool for moving forward. Facing fear and doubt is necessary to move past fear and doubt. As emotional baggage is released, and refiled,  You may begin to feel lighter and happier. This is an ongoing exercise. It is OK to express Yourself. It is OK  to be who You would really like to be. Self acceptance is a milestone to celebrate. To be different is to be unique. I would like to recommend one of My  favourite books authored by Louise L. Hay. This book is an incredible resource. I often keep an extra copy of it to share with My Clients.

Happy New Year

A New Year offers the promise of  fresh beginnings. Goals and New Years Resolutions are a great way to start the New Year. Setting goals is an important strategy for success and happiness.  I like to focus on both long term and short term goals.  Each year I take time out to create a list of goals and objectives  for the upcoming year.  I spend a minimum of an hour to reflect on what will be My focus on the year ahead. Typically,  My goals revolve around business, health and home renovations , but this year  I will add blogging to the mix. One of My goals last year was to start a WordPress Blog. I am most grateful to have reached this goal.. Thank You for joining Me on this journey.

Clear out clutter and complete unfinished business as the old year finishes. This will ensure a fresh and positive flow of new energy into the New Year.  Pay bills before the year’s end.  There is a fresh and exciting crackle in the air as 2018 approaches. I usually spend My New Year’s Eve at home, with a festive dinner and family.

Because I live in the Northern Hemisphere, winter will be in full swing as January starts.  Temperatures will drop, and snow will fall. Indoor activity  becomes the norm. This allows me time to indulge one of My favorite pass times – Reading.   Read all the books You have been meaning to read. Reading is the ultimate luxury. January offers time for rest and relaxation. Sleep and rest allow the physical body to recharge and rebuild. Pay attention to dreams during the winter. The dream world is a portal into our unconscious mind. Indigenous cultures value the messages found within the dream world. dreams. Dreams offer valuable guidance. Learn to listen within. Start a dream journal and record dreams consistently.

Align Your Spine, Align Your Life

The condition of the spine is crucial to our overall health and well being. Health and flexibility of the spine is crucial to complete and total health. Yoga is an excellent modality to build,  or maintain spinal health. The spine  protects the spinal cord, the nerve roots, and internal organs. The nervous system is sensitive to vibration, sound and weather. Pay attention to any pain or discomfort. Yoga is a wonderful holistic system to improve  every aspect of your lifestyle . The word Yoga means “union”.  The objective  of Yoga is to align  mind, body, and spirit. I have used Yoga personally for many years. Yoga  is practical and does not require any special equipment. The study of Yoga includes learning to breath properly. The practice of breath work improves health, vitality, and the emotional balance of the body.

In Her ground breaking book  ” Heal Your Body”,  Louise L. Hay wrote of how thought patterns influenced and created health or illness.  The book is a small pocket size book, yet in it She shared Her affirmations for metaphysical healing of the entire physical body. On Page 73, is a Chapter entitled “Spinal Misalignments.” She created an affirmation for each of the vertebrae, along with a probable thought pattern.
